Our new Administrative Assistant is Amy Thomas. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Cedarville University. Amy & her husband Jack moved to Statham, GA in June of 2017 from Daniels, WV. They are originally from Cincinnati, OH. Jack is the pastor of Statham First Baptist Church. They have two married daughters, Emily Stewart (husband John) and Megan Lanter (husband Dave) and a furry 4-legged child named JJ. They have a beautiful granddaughter named Miracle.
Amy Thomas, Administrative Assistant
Harriett Dugger has served as organist/accompanist at Chapelwood for 19 years. She is a graduate of Brenau University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education and a minor in piano. Ms. Dugger has served as organist/accompanist for 5 churches in the North Georgia Conference. She is a retired elementary school teacher and is a member of Athens Choral Society, Athens Symphony Choir, and Friendship Community Choir.
Harriett Dugger, Organist/Pianist
Hailing from Athens, Mickey has attended Chapelwood since 1963 with her parents, Bob and Mike Yongue and brother, Rob. Currently serving as the director of public relations, communications and marketing at UGA's College of Pharmacy, Mickey lives in Bogart, with her son, Harrison, 16, who attends North Oconee High School, and their beloved four-legged family member, Jack.
Co-director Children's Ministries
Connie helps teach Sunday School in the children's department, helps cook the Wednesday Night Suppers, and delivers supper to shut-ins. She has been a member of Chapelwood on and off since the late sixties. She moved away for a while but came home in the early eighties with her daughter, April. April is now the mother to her precious grandsons, Reese and Charlie. They live in Macon. Connie lives just around the corner from the church on Clifton Drive.
